I enjoy creating a roadmap for the New Year. Setting goals every year helps me engage in activities that are aligned with my values, check-in on what I want to accomplish, and also, check-in on what is realistic in the New Year. And, for the last four years my goals included something to do with ultimately having a child: get pregnant, start Clomid, start IVF, complete adoption application, have a baby, have a healthy pregnancy.

This year, for the first time in four years, I’m not setting any goals around having a baby. And, it feels good. For the first time in four years, I’m honoring my body autonomy. This doesn’t mean I’m not making plans to have a child. Quite the opposite! Rather, I’m simply not going to have it be the deciding factor on whether or not I’ve had a good year.

So, what are my goals for the New Year?? Continue reading to find out more!
