Season 3 of "The Miscarriage Therapist" starts next week!
The last few weeks have been busy and exciting as we are gearing up for the third season of the podcast!
When the first season of “The Miscarriage Therapist” was released, I never imagined we would have so many listeners. And now, over a year later, more and more pregnancy loss survivors are finding the podcast. While I’m sad that any of us have to be in this space together, I’m glad that we are finding and sharing resources in this community.
And, season three is already promising to be a great season. Make sure to tune in, starting Wednesday, 3/8, wherever you get your podcasts.
Resources from Podcasts Past and Future
To get us ready for season three, here are a few things I’ve been reading, both from past podcast guests, and upcoming podcast guests:
All the Love by Kim Hooper: Kim was featured in season 2 of the podcast. A recurrent pregnancy loss survivor, Kim set out to write the book she felt she needed during her losses. All the Love discusses the various aspects of pregnancy loss, including medical interventions, when to seek professional support, and even the financial burdens and traumas that can arise after a pregnancy loss.
A Diary to my Babies: Journeying Through Pregnancy Loss by Carmen Grover: When I first spoke with Carmen, her book hadn’t yet been released! It’s now out, and it is an incredible read. Carmen is also one of those people I’ve met along this journey that I feel I can call a friend.
Support Groups available, led by Nicole McNelis: Nicole was the very first guest on the podcast! She is a clinician in the Philadelphia area, and has partnered with Butterfly Baskets to offer support groups to pregnancy Loss survivors.
Jennie Agg’s The Uterus Monologues, and her new book, Life, Almost: I love Jennie’s Substack account, and I’ve recently started reading her new book. Having a similar journey to parenthood as Jennie, I have been drawn into her account of pregnancy loss.
I want to hear from you! What are your favorite podcast episodes from seasons one and two? Are there topics you want to talk more about?
